Start Location: DK Mining Shop 369  S. Franklin Street Juneau, Alaska
Start Times: Start anytime 9 AM to 9 PM Daylight hours.

Distance and Trail: Information: Pre-registration will be made available for tour groups by contacting The-Over-The-Hill-Gang Volkssport Club, C/O Ken Grieser 303 S. 325th Lane, Federal Way, WA 98003.  Tel: 253-874-4805 A self-addressed, stamped envelope is most appreciated.       We cannot control the arrivals of boats, however if you are arrive early, do the walk and sign in the log when finished.  If this is the case contact our Treasurer and Trail Master for the walk Ken Grieser  above. All efforts will be made to see that you can complete this walk ( map and directions)

Restrooms will not be available at the startpoint. They will be found at public, buildings, hotels and eating places along the route. Pets are allowed on leash.

Award: A colorful 3 1/2 inch embroidered patch showing an Alaskan eagle. Alaska has one of the largest populations of bald eagles in the world.

Registration/Event Costs: This event is free to anyone wishing to participate. Award and IVV credit will be $6.00.  Credit-only will be $3.00. You may earn only ONE event credit for this event per calendar year. You may earn as many distance credits as desired. You may walk twice the same day on the same start card. The event will be held regardless of weather and there will be no refunds.

Directions:
FROM CRUISE SHIP TERMINAL: Exit on S. Franklin Street. Turn left and walk to Start point at 369 S.Franklin Street.

FROM AIRPORT: Drive South . (towards town) on Egan Drive to Marine Drive staying on the right side. Turn right on  to S. Franklin St. to the start point. The airport is located approximately nine miles north of downtown Juneau.
