Minutes of the October 27, 2010 meeting

Call to Order Meeting was called to order at 7 p.m. by club president, Diane Wagner. Fourteen members were present.
Correspondence Information was received from Prime Time, Inc. concerning a fund raiser for the Yakima Greenway to be held on 11/27/10.
Minutes of the Sept. 22, 2010 meeting Motion was made, seconded and passed to accept the minutes as submitted by the secretary.
Treasurer’s Report Ken Grieser reported that the checkbook balance is $3,495.21. The 3rd quarter report has been sent to the AVA.

Membership Marianne Bastin reported that there are 35 members (total of paid, honorary & lifetime). Included is new member Katie Jaskar. (Updated membership roster attached to this mailing.)
Sales Alicia Maxcy reported that she has record books for sale.
Sickness/Sympathy Joan Grieser sent cards to Marion Puckett and Alicia Maxcy.
AVA Check Point
- AVA has a new logo tag line “Moving together toward a healthier America”
- New corporate sponsor – Brazos Walking stick (wood walking sticks/canes)
- AVA requests silent auction items for 2011 AVA convention in Iowa

Old Business
Christmas Party The club party will be held at Alicia Maxcy’s home on Sat., Dec. 11 from 3-5 pm. This will be a potluck – the club will supply plates and silverware. Food or money donations will be collected for the Federal Way food bank.
AVA meeting clarification No additional fee will be charged for 5k and 10k events/only 1 sanction request.
Break for Drawing $14.00 was collected. Marilyn Viola won $7.00, $7.00 went to the club.
New Business
ESVA meeting Meeting will be held Nov. 27 at the Edmonds event.
There will be a motion to start a committee for NW Regional Conference in 2012 – unknown location.
A motion will be made to establish where ESVA meetings are held (Eastern WA in 2nd and 4th quarter).
Next meeting at Ocean Shores, Feb. 19, 2011.
Dupont events Motion was made, seconded and passed to have the walks Map Walks with major turns marked.
Worker’s walks will be essential to insure accuracy of the written instructions. Rich Heasty volunteered to write instructions with help. Ads are due by the end of Dec.
