New Business
Proposed November event
 – No trail map has been developed and the costs of the only know indoor start points are uncomfortably high.  It doesn’t seem feasible to push ahead on the project at this time since sanction deadline is close. It could be a possible future YRE.

ESVA Meeting scheduled 8/15 in Northgate – The following business items are on the agenda.
Motion to amend standing rules (housekeeping) clarifying exact due time moneys from after actions are to be paid to ESVA.
AVA report.
New brochure will be presented. It could be used in lieu of Northwest Pathfinder at large events.
Next meeting October 10 in West Seattle.

AVA Convention report – Chuck Garrison passed around copies of reports from the Convention.  He reported that the organization and flow of the Convention events were excellent. The 2013 AVA Convention has no sponsor yet.  There was some talk of wanting to hold it in the Northwest.

2010 Dupont Event – A different start point would be a good idea.  Diane will contact the hotel to ask about using it as a start point and what the charge would be.

Northwest Trek–  Ken Grieser reported that the profit from the June event was $264.50 ($111.00 in jar contributions included).  Motion was made, seconded and passed to donate $250.00 to NW Trek. The 2010 NW Trek event will be June 15.

AVA Regional Conference – Will be held in Alaska in 2010.

Good of the Order
The club Christmas party will be on Dec. 9 at the Round Table Pizza club meeting site.
The IVV has announced a new program for multi-day, multi-walk events.  More information will come later.
Joan Grieser shared her idea to have easy to carry information cards about Volkssporting with web sites and phone numbers to pass out to anyone who shows interest in the sport. Diane will order AVA business cards.  Another idea was to put TOTHG club info. stickers on the AVA cards.
There was a question about 5, 10, 15 & 20 year pins.  Are they for years of service to AVA or years of participation in the sport? Diane will try to get an answer to the question.

Adjournment  Meeting was adjourned at 7:55 p.m.
Respectfully submitted,
Marianne Bastin
