Call to Order Meeting was called to order at 7 p.m. by club president, Diane Wagner. Thirteen members and one guest were in attendance. Rich Heasy was introduced. He was visiting the meeting to learn more about Volkssporting.
Correspondence
An invitation to club members to attend ESVA’s 25th Anniversary celebration on 7-11-09 was received.
Delegate/Alternate forms from AVA for Chuck Garrison and his daughter arrived and were given to Chuck.
Minutes A correction to the April 22, 2009 meeting was made. The date of the May meeting was wrong. Motion was made, seconded and passed to accept the minutes of the April 22, 2009 as corrected.
Treasurer’s Report Ken Grieser reported that the current checkbook balance is $1,911.24.

Larry Walsh’s picture was in the April/May issue of TAW working at the 2008 Bloomsday event in Spokane (page 20). Bob Jensen, a founding member of TOTHG, turned 80 on 5/23.
Committee Reports
YRE – Maple Valley – 33 year to date (4 free, 1 credit not paid)
No reports from Dupont, Kent (3 walks) or Juneau.
Membership Marianne Bastin reported that there are 53 members. Club dues are due by July 1. Individuals $5.00/ families $10.00. Please send to Marianne Bastin, 10310 – 67th Ave E, Puyallup, WA 98373-1131 or pay her at the NW Trek walk. Make checks payable to The Over the Hill Gang Volkssport Club. (See list of members who are paid for the year 2009/2010 at the end of these minutes.)
Sales Alicia Maxcy has event and distance books for sale.
Sickness/sympathy Joan Grieser sent a get well card to Bob Hellers who has been having problems with his hip.
AVA
The convention is June 22-26.
Milestone for Chuck Garrison – Chuck handled the voting for NW Regional Director. There was 98% response from the NW Region for ballots for NWRD. This was the best response in the history of AVA!
ESVA The next meeting is 8/15/09 in Seattle Northgate area hosted by FS Family Wanderers.
Old Business NW Trek walk is June 6. Thank you to Joan Grieser for an outstanding job of getting volunteers. The Workers walk will be on Friday, June 5 at 9 a.m. when the trail will be marked. This is National Trails day and the club walk will have competition with walks at Crazy Horse and Weyerhaeuser. There was a discussion about the donation usually given to NW Trek from proceeds of the walk. The amount of the donation will be determined when the after action figures are in.
Break for drawing $9.00 was collected. Marilyn Viola was the winner of $4.50.
New Business A discussion on the idea of hosting a Year-Round-Event at Roegner Park in Auburn resulted in the following motion:
Motion was made, seconded and passed to keep all existing Year-Round-Events (Dupont, Kent-City/Green River Trail/Lake Fenwick, Maple Valley and Juneau) and add Roegner Park though Game Farm Park in Auburn. Start/finish would be the home of Bob and Betty Hellers.
Chuck Garrison, Ken & Joan Grieser and Bob & Betty Hellers volunteered to work on route.
Adjournment Meeting was adjourned at 7:45 p.m.
