THE OVER THE HILL GANG VOLKSSPORT CLUB MEETING
January 26th , 2005
Held at Round Table Pizza, Auburn, Washington
CALL TO ORDER:
Club President Skip Probst called the meeting to order at 7:00pm.
There were 20 members present this evening.
MINUTES:
Minutes of the October meeting were approved.
1st ORDER BUSINESS: Since we have lost our club secretary to her job assignment overseas. A request for volunteer for secretary was asked for. Steve Mackey volunteered to be secretary. Since there was no other volunteer or nomination, club members voted unanimously and approved. Steve will take over the position of secretary at the next meeting in February.
CORRESPONDENCE:
The club has received a letter from Nancy Wittenberg , thanking us for our donation of $301 to the Girl scouts from the October Girl scout walk.
A Christmas card from Chip and Northwest Trek.
Brochures from Scott Walking and Stehekin Lodge.
These were passed around to be viewed by the club members.
TREASURERS REPORT:
Ken Grieser reported the club has a total of $6,958.13 in our check book.
COMMITTEE REPORTS:
KENT YRE: Dixie Inabnit-Walkers to date: 10
FEDERAL WAY YRE: Jack-Walkers to date: 21
DUPONT YRE: Elayne Chambers – Walkers to date: 13, Bike 0
SALES: No report this meeting
MEMBERSHIP: No report this meeting. Last meeting there is a total of 89.
SICKNESS & SYNPATHY: 2 cards were sent out .
ESVA REPORT: Carol presented us with a brief and informative summary of the March 19 th ESVA meeting.
BREAK FOR DRAWING:
$22 was collected. Leonard Bahr won the drawing. He got $11 and $11 went into our club kitty.

UNFINISHED BUSINESS:
DuPont Walk: W. STEWART reported that both the 10k walks are finalized, and 5k walk is yet to be set. Bill has set up 2 workers walk on February 26 and 27. beginning at 0900am.
DUPONT WORKERS LIST. A sign up list was passed around for members to sign up for work at the Dupont event
NEW BUSINESS:

That the Evergreen Wanderers group walk is on the 29 th of January start at the Spar Coffee in Tacoma.
The Puyallup start point that used to be in the 7/11 as been moved to the Safeway store on 1405 Main Street.
The WA. State challenge event > County < has been continued indefinitely.
There is 146 days left before the 14 th AVA convention in Cherry Hill N.J so make your plans early.
The 3-day Victoria walk festival is April 15-17 and the Vancouver
Discovery walk festival is the following week end April 22-24.
Marilyn Viola will be the Trail Master for the Northwest Trek walk in June 4 th 2005
Bob and Betty will be the trail masters for the Roegner Park walk in Augustus 27 th 2005
There will be a Club walk on April 10 th in Kent, with a get together at the God Father Pizza afterwards.
