Minutes of the July 25, 2012 meeting
Round Table Pizza, 34410 16th Ave Ct, Federal Way, WA 6:30 p.m.
Call to Order Meeting was called to order at 6:35 p.m. by club president, Diane Wagner. Fourteen members were present.
Milestones Debbie Connell was welcomed back after her recent trip to Kenya. She is looking forward to a milestone birthday on Aug. 19.
Minutes of the June 27, 2012 meeting Motion was made, seconded and passed to accept the minutes as submitted by the secretary.
Treasurer’s Report Ken Grieser reported that the checkbook balance is $3,560.11. He has some money yet to be deposited.

Membership Marianne Bastin reported that there are 36 members (paid, honorary & lifetime). Two members have yet to pay their 2012-2013 club dues.
Sales Alicia Maxcy has record books and club shirts for sale. There 2 large and 3 ex. large shirts for $13.00 each.
Sickness/Sympathy Joan Grieser reported:
Bob Hellers is in a nursing home recuperating from knee surgery.
Dorothy Bahr recently received a heart pacemaker.
On July 14, Dorothy and Leonard Bahr celebrated their 50th anniversary.
Joyce, wife of Allan Heritage who is the president of Lilac City Volkssport, recently underwent cancer surgery.
Virginia Krandle, member of Daffodil Valley Volkssport, recently died at age 96. She participated in walking events into her 80’s.
ESVA Meeting – July 21
The 39 counties program was referred back to the Challenge committee to bring forth new ideas for the challenge.
Next meeting will be at Loon Lake (Spokane area) on October 6.
AVA Meeting – July 6-7 in Orlando

AVA NW Regional Director Report
Trail master awards were given to Dick Baker, Jan Breneman and Earl Bowen.
Candidates for AVA Officers were announced: Sam Korff, President; Holly Pelking, Vice President and Bob Morrison, Treasurer.
Old Business
YRE/Seasonals are sanctioned for 2013.
There will be no August club meeting. We will meet to walk the Auburn YRE at 9 a.m. at the Game Farm on Aug. 12 and eat at the Muckelshoot Casino at 11:30 a.m.
Break for Drawing $12.00 was collected. Leonard Bahr won $6.00, $6.00 went to the club.
New Business
Next club meeting will be September 26, 6:30 p.m.
PEO Pathfinders Volkssport club has folded. Would TOTHG want to look into sanctioning some events they used to do? We’ll discuss the feasibility at the Sept. meeting.
